MUKHSIN : The Poetry Behind Seluar Dalam

***SPOILERS!*** (I don't think so)

One thing interesting about Mukhsin's premier today was how bloggers were finally recognised. There were special attendance sheet for bloggers, special seats for bloggers and bloggers were acknowledged in their speeches (MC, Producer & Director). It was full house and 50% stayed back for the press conference and surprisingly the catered food outside the cinema hall was still there untouched ( I don't know whether others were not allowed to touch the food until the PC ends or they ignored the food because the PC was much tastier)

I don't think I wanna talk much about the film, because I believe everybody would be doing the same. I felt the story was too short. Before I could savour their (Mukhsin & Orked) relationship, the sign that they gonna drift apart starts to appear. And before I know it, 'Nuar Cheese' starts singing Ne Me Quitte Pas. That particular scene has both happy and poignant moment. I was laughing looking at 'Nuar Cheese' singing and at the same time that poignant feeling creeps in when I saw Mukhsin.

Yasmin mentioned that this film is also about second chance. Many thought that Gubra was a failure because many couldn't grasp what Gubra was all about ( and also the controversy behind it). Today, Yasmin came in with redemption. As if someone was given second chance. She nailed it!

In her opening speech, she was thankful because everyone was there, the people she loves. But she did also mentioned that there were 2 people that hates her and I saw one of them. Raja Azmi was there! So was David Teo (that's what I heard). If you wanna know about 'Perosak Budaya' and 'How to be a good wife', do watch Mukhsin.

'Makcik sidai seluar dalam' is the most memorable scene in the history of Malaysian Cinema. I thought the seluar dalam was taken from Cinta Kolesterol. Nope, wrong! It was the work of the wardrobe dept. There weren't many food in this film compare to Gubra (the tastiest opening sequence in Malay film history), but do watch out for the director of Qabil Khusri Qabil Igam making cameo appearance (like you care).
Don't wanna give any more spoilers. Well, what can I say......Do watch Mukhsin. Highly recommended.
* I think she gonna get Datuk'ship tomorrow. (Don't tell her I said that)

mute, at which part, the cameo appearance?

btw, it's not that we (those who keluar awal) didnt touch the food, actually there were two buffet lines. by the time PC habis, we've already finished attacking the first one and they've kemas already coz dah licin.
